Milestones
Rasi Seeds has the largest hybrid cotton seed production area in the world, producing hybrid cotton seeds over 45,000 acres.
The First Hybrid Bt Cotton RCH2 was commercialized in 2004, which was an eye-opener for the cotton-growing farming community in India.
Rasi Cotton seed is being used by over 2.0 million farmers in India, covering over 7.5 lakh acres and catering to 25-30% of the cotton seed market requirement in India.
Pioneer in the development and introduction of closer spacing systems (High Density System) in commercial cotton production.
Formation of SIRA Seeds (2017) - A brand of Rasi Seeds, focusing on forage crops seed research, production, and marketing in India. Since its inception, so far, 13 cultivars were released with an annual production of over 1,500 metric tons.
